WELCOME TO THE MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT & COMMUNICATION
Ministry of Transport
& Communication & Public Works (MTC) is the national
focal Ministry and enabling arm of the Government of Timor-Leste
for planning coordinating and directing efforts to initiate
and launch Information Technology and Telecommunications programs
and projects aimed at economic development of the country.
Responsible for all the policy matters related to the
subject of Water and Power, for the overall supervision
of performance of organization under its administrative
control.
Role and function of the Public Works is Management,
maintenance, construction of all Government Buildings.
Communications
is responsible for policy matters, pertaining to Telecommunication,
Shipping, Navigation, Mercantile, Marine, Services.
IT
division prepares an overall integrated plan as well as
formulation of the policy for the development and improvement
of information technology including infrastructure .
